Activities

Our Club Activities

Our fund raising activities are

  • Geelong and District Football League Finals Gates,

  • Geelong West/St Peters Football Gates,

  • Geelong Show Gates,

  • Kiwanis All Ford Day Entry,

  • Airshows DownUnder Entry for Car Parking, and also

  • BBQ's and Sausage Sizzles.

  • We also fund raise with the sale of Lions Christmas Cakes and Lions Mints.

Club Social Activities - Progressive Dinners, Fun nights at Lions Homes with old time record nights, Barbecues following fund raising activities and Mystery Bus trip.

Community - Family day on Australia Day at Rippleside Park, Western Beach.

Entertainment is provided free of charge, only cost to family is food. We have a variety of rides, treasure hunts, International Dancing, Animal farm, Sheep shearing all provided free.

 We also run a special day for the Vision Impaired which has been sailing on Corio Bay. These people are given the opportunity to sail or assist sailing the yachts in the bay.

We are involved with Youth Projects - Sponsoring children to attend Lions Village Licola on a yearly basis. Lions Youth of the Year and also have a combined School Leos Club at Sacred Heart/St Joseph's College, Geelong which is an activity of our club.

With the funds raised the club has provided three Hart Walkers to cerebral palsy children. We have a close relationship with SCOPE having provided several different types of walkers, two specially fitted trikes as well as scanning equipment. We also have provided funds to a Primary School for Large Sign and also to provide books for disadvantaged children. We are involved with a local Secondary College providing funds to assist students.

We have donated to the Hope Project - Cancer Project within the District and also the Tsunami Relief.
